France is a located in western Europe and extending from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Seas, from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. In its over 640,000 square kilometers of territory, France hosts a total population of 67 million people. Its marvelous capital, Paris, is the country’s largest city and main cultural and commercial center but the entire nation has an irresistible and year-round appeal thanks to a very diverse and, at the same time, grand landscape: from the lush countrysides to the rich medieval villages in Brittany and Normandy, from the chic boulevards in Paris to the snow-capped mountains of the Pyrenees and the Alps, from the sunlit vineyards of Bordeaux to the majestic towns in Aquitaine and Dordogne, France has the ability to satisfy all tastes.
Not only amazing panoramas and historical heritage, but also plenty to taste for food and wine lovers, in France: the nation has always given an enormous importance to food, and each region boasts its own specialities. Some French specialties are worldwide known and appreciated: warm croissants, baguettes, cheese and - of course - wines and champagne. Just like its “cousin”, Italy, France is also very famous for its world-class art and architecture, outstanding museums, Roman temples and Renaissance castles, iconic buildings such as the Parisienne Tour Eiffel and the Royal Versailles. Finally, it has to be mentioned the breathtaking French Riviera, admired and appreciated every year from millions of tourists worldwide.
